Paul Tulipana
Hi, I'm Paul and this is my homepage.
I'm a PhD student in Philosophy at Stanford University. I am interested in philosophy of action and metanormativity, and, more specifically, on broadly Kantian views at the intersection of these topics. I am also keen on German Idealism, particularly Hegel.
Here are some recent papers:
- Kant's Conception of Autonomy in Two Objections to Metaethical Constitutivism, presented at the APA Pacific, April 2011.
- Saving the Many and the Value of Human Life in Scanlon's Contractualism, presented at the APA Central, March-April 2011.
- The Normative Question and the Rules of Moral Salience, presented at Georgia State University, March 2011.
I also have an applied interest in design ethics, which I write about with my partners Nick and Andrea at our small firm's blog, BlogLESS.
What else? I have a BFA Sculpture from Washington University and an MA Philosophy from GSU. Somewhere in there, I made visual art in collaboration with Sean, and worked as a computer programmer. You can find me on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Academia, and Google. You can email me .
